Project Summary:

Since 2019, Perch Advisors has worked with merchants and business leaders in Red Hook, Brooklyn in the organizing and creation of a nonprofit organization representing community businesses to serve as a collective voice for them, in light of major changes including zoning and transportation decisions impacting the neighborhood. Perch Advisors helped the Red Hook Business Alliance (RHBA) identify a diverse group of business leaders to serve as an Advisory Committee, and supported the group in identifying goals for the budding organization, and establishing committees to meet those goals.  RHBA proved its value in the community by recruiting a diverse array of more than 100 members, hosting meetings and business mixers, producing events to promote local business and beautify the neighborhood, and ultimately supporting a vibrant local economy.
